One of the responsibilities of RCMP in the province is to serve Aboriginal communities by improving safety and making it healthier to live there.
The RCMP works in association with Aboriginal Policing Services as they create programs for more than 200 communities within the province.
The Fort St. John RCMP First Nations Community Policing Section participates in a number of initiatives, including drug abuse resistance education, the First Nations wrestling program, ATV safety, and others.
