Thursday spring league basketball results

In the Junior Division, Team Red squared off against Team Yellow. The Reds took the game by a score of 22-20. The players of the game were Scott Johnson for the Reds, while Chantal Amstrup with the yellow squad was their top player.

Team Teal just got by Team Black 32-30. Joshua Stones was the player of the game for Team Teal and Reilli Peterson took the top nod for the Blacks.


Team Purple was victorious over Team White 30-24. Angele Fraser was the top player for Team Purple, and Earl Conception was recognized for his efforts for the Whites.

In Senior Girls play, Northern Valve took the win over D. Bauer 34-28. Kyla Allan was recognized for her efforts for Northern Valve as she showed good leadership, and Jalena Fair took the honour for D. Bauer for her post up game and hustle.

The tightest game of the week took place between Focus and Jiffy Lube which ended up in a 42-42 tie. Carlee Shenton was the top player for Focus with strong defence and offensive rebounds, while Becky Hedges for Jiffy Lube also did a great job with rebounds and on defence.

In the Senior Boys Division, Northern Valve beat Sunlife 32-30. Jordan Sandberg was the player of the game for Northern Valve with good defence and good hustle. Mark Schaefer of Sunlife was great defensively, and solid on the boards.

Another tight game on the schedule saw D. Bauer defeat Jiffy Lube 54-52. The top player for D. Bauer was Jason Hanna who displayed hard work on defence and took a lot of fouls. Jiffy Lube’s top player was Lucas Ziebart who took a lot of bumps down low and was solid defensively.
