The open house will be held from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. on June 5 at the Seniors Hall, and is open to all residents and the business community.
To get cyclists’ point-of-view, there will be a bike tour Thursday starting at City Hall at 7 p.m. Boulevard Transportation planner Dan Casey will be looking for areas of concern as the tour heard through residential areas and parts of the Dawson Trail. If interested in joining in part or all of the tour, RSVP with City Hall by calling 250-784-3600.
Walking tours will also be taking place on Thursday with Transportation Engineer Nadine King, who will be looking for a pedestrian’s perspective on transportation in the city. The first will meet at noon under the old clock at the Northern Alberta Railways Park, for a route downtown through 10th Street and side roads. The second will meet at South Peace Secondary School at 7 p.m., for a trip around the Dawson Trail.
Anyone unable to attend the open house or tours will be able to provide their input through a survey mailed out to all residents in June and July, as well as another open house in August or September.
