Bob Rae named chairman of First Nations pipeline board

Known as the First Nations Limited Partnership, it consists of the 15 First Nations situated along the proposed pipeline route between Summit Lake and Kitimat. 

Sounding a lot like a member of Prime Minister Harper’s Conservative caucus, Mr. Rae is quoted as saying the successful implementation of the commercial agreement will be critical to the important LNG project moving forward successfully. He’s also quoted as claiming the FNLP is an innovative model for how industry, governments and First Nations can cooperate effectively with respect to major economic development projects.
