The plan’s recommendations ensure that Hydro will be able to support the unprecedented economic potential here in the north, including the development of the liquefied natural gas industry. In addition, the plan strives to prioritize conservation so that customers have the ability to reduce their electricity bills through a range of programs and incentives which help them use less electricity.
Additional consultations, scheduled to take place from September 3 to October 18, will provide the opportunity for feedback on recent changes made during the Resource Plan draft period. Following these consultations, Hydro will have until November 15 to re-submit the plan for government consideration.
