Len Holland is the General Manager at Fort St. John Links. He says that the interclubs provide courses in town to show off what they have, while getting to know other golfers in the community.
“The interclubs are a chance for each golf course to showcase their course, and get some comradery with the other courses,” he explains. “You get a bit of a competition going within the clubs in the Peace Country here, so each year a different club will win the circuit.”
He adds that despite the rain, the course held up well, and those taking part were able to have good rounds.
“The golf course is in great shape with all the rain, everything is nice and green and lush,” he says. “The hardest part for the golf course staff is keeping the grass mowed down, but the course is in great shape, so the players get good conditions to play on and can score better.”
