Labour leaders working with Premier Clark on LNG jobs

Both aforementioned labour leaders run unions that are top donors to the provincial New Democrats, but Sinclair says they’re working with a Liberal government because this issue has nothing to do with politics.

Sigurdson went a bit further than that, saying Premier Clark appeared to be the only political leader to wear a hard hat during the May election campaign, but adds there’s still a lot of work to do.

The trio has plans to develop a strategy document by the end of this month, and while acknowledging that environmentalists may try to block their efforts, they all say protecting the environment is a top priority.
