He was struck by a southbound vehicle in the centre lane and it’s suspected he sustained major head injury. He was initially treated at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital, but has since been transported to an undisclosed Edmonton area hospital for his serious injuries. 

The road was closed for nearly nine hours while a traffic collision analyst was called in to assist the RCMP and South Peace Traffic Service in their investigation. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and didn’t speak to officers at the scene is asked to contact RCMP at 250-784-3700.
