Fort St. John Peewee Flyers take first place in weekend tournament

The VE Brandl Flyers opened with a close loss to the Sexsmith Vipers by a score of 6-5 but would rebound nicely in their next two games. The team would take on Grande Prairie in their next game and would take the contest by a score of 8-1, and followed that up with a 7-1 over the Spirit River Rangers.

The Flyers would meet the Vipers once more, this time in the finals. Fort St. John would win the game 4-3.

The third period was quiet until the final seconds when the Flyers scored with 5.8 seconds remaining.

Scoring for the Flyers were Sam Webster, Nathan Zinck, Chase London, and Nathan Zinck. The Flyers also netted three powerplay goals in the game.
