Telus spokesperson Liz Sauvé says a crew has been on its way for an hour now, but may be slowed down by poor highway conditions. Once on the scene the first priority will be restoring service for the approximately 1,000 affected customers. 

At this point the cause of the outage is unknown. We will update as we learn more.
