Here is the official statement from the Ministry of Transportation:

Travel Advisory in affect for Highway 97 from Junction with Highway 39, south of MacKenzie to 10 km south of Junction with Highway 29, in Chetwynd (137.8 km). Travel Advisory in effect. Travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary because of freezing rain.

Crews are out sanding the highway, but residents are asked to avoid travel today.
