He goes on to say that the creation of his Ministry, following the Liberal’s May election victory, proves the government’s commitment.
He also claims his October trip to Asia offered proof B.C. natural gas is in demand, the province is globally competitive, and that it’s taking the right steps to put in place what’s needed to address issues such as skilled labour.
He adds the government expects to be able to announce details soon on the development of a tax structure that is competitive, predictable and necessary in order to enhance chances of getting final, favourable overseas investment decisions.
He concludes, “We have a vision of B.C. as a strong, prosperous and competitive economy with LNG as a key part of that vision, and with the progress made in 2013, I know we will achieve it. Soon.”
