However, it is still five cents a liter higher than the B.C. average, which at $1.218 is about half a cent below the national average. 

According the, the local price is also 18 cents higher than the low end price in the province, which it quotes as $1.089 at five filling stations in Langford on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. That, in turn, is another 12 cents higher than the low end price in Alberta at five stations in the Edmonton area, where it’s 96.9 cents a litre.
