A week after it occurred, the credit union launched the fundraising efforts in this region, and CEO Mitchel Chilcot says, “We are beyond words with how the community has come together.”

He adds, “The gracious donations from staff and members have been a real demonstration of the sense of community here in Fort St. John, and I am glad that we can share that overseas.”

The donations totalled $13,510.25, and the Savings and Credit Union then delivered on its promise to match the funds up to $5,000.
