“It is incredible every year to see our community come together though the Angel campaign,” says Ashley Bentley, Executive Director. “Patients of all ages in all departments of our hospital and Peace Villa facility will benefit through the generosity of our donors. We want our community members to receive the best care and treatment right here at home. Anytime a patient doesn’t have to travel for healthcare is a success for us”

All of the money raised goes towards buying highly needed medical equipment not already allocated for at the hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care Centre.

Funds were also raised through the the Be an Angel Gala at the beginning of November, which brought in more than $78,000, and the Light a Moose campaign at the end of the month, which garnered nearly $38,000. This year the donations from Light a Moose went towards the purchase of a new Panda Warmer, which is used in the maternity ward to help keep newborns warm immediately after birth.

Donations will continue to be accepted throughout December in an effort to further exceed the $250,000 goal. Donations can be mailed to or made at the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation office in the hospital or online at
