Head Coach Gary Alexander says despite the three game losing streak he has confidence in the team to get things turned around.
“We’ve had three losses in a row and we’ve rebounded with pretty good games after we’ve been down a couple earlier this year so I don’t expect anything else,” he says. “You need to have downs in order to have ups so we’re not really disappointed in anything at this moment. Hopefully we rebound again quick or things will change.”
Alexander points to slow starts as the main reason for the team dropping their last three games.
“We’ve started poorly in all three of them and it’s bit us. We’ve always come back to a certain extent in later parts of the game,” he explains. “They know what they’re doing; they know they’re capable of beating these teams, it’s not like they don’t know they can’t.”
Daimon Derouin is expected to start in goal tonight for the Huskies after Travis McLean got the last start over the weekend in Fairview.
Tonight’s game can be heard live on Moose FM with the pregame show at 7:45, and the opening faceoff at 8 p.m.
After tonight’s game, the Huskies return home for a big tilt on Friday night as they take on the Grande Prairie JDA Kings at 8 p.m at the North Peace Arena.
