Knights of Columbus Flyers take third in home tournament

The KOC Flyers opened the scoring in the final seconds of the first period as Teagan McMullen found the back of the net for the team to lead 1-0 after 20 minutes. St. Albert tied the game with 8:10 left in the second, but late in the period the Flyers scored again with 2:07 remaining.

Fort St. John increased its lead to two with an early marker just 31 seconds into the third, and added another just 37 seconds later to take a 4-1 lead. St. Albert answered four minutes after that to close the gap to two but that was as close as they got.

Scoring in order for the Flyers were Teagan McMullen, Andrew Travis, McMullen again, and Adam Bowie. Assists went to Tanner Sandberg, and Kolton Leslie.

The team will resume regular season play with a game on the road in Peace River on Friday night.
