Anyone interested in helping out is asked to commit to one morning or afternoon shift a week on Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday starting at 7 a.m. or between 5 and 8 p.m.

As the House’s driveway is quite big, volunteers are encouraged to sign up in a group or pairs. It takes approximately 45 minutes to shovel the walk alone, depending on how heavy the snowfall is.

Abbeyfield House is a non-profit home for seniors, and is run by a volunteer board of directors. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Ann Bergen at 250-785-8595 or e-mail her at anntheartist@ocol.com
