Contract for Kitimat LNG construction awarded to JGC/Fluor

JGC will take care of the services for the liquefaction process facilities and core infrastructure, while Fluor will be responsible for utilities and offsite facilities.

“We are excited to enter into the next phase of supporting the Kitimat LNG project for Chevron and their partner Apache,” says Peter Oosterveer, president of Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals Group. “Kitimat has the potential to become Canada’s first major LNG production and export terminal.”

The contract award is being heralded by the province as a “strong sign of LNG projects advancing in B.C.”
