President of the Fort St. John Curling Club Dan Bonin says the curling club can now officially be used by all members of the public and is looking forward to bringing new events to the curling club.

“It’s nice to be able to have the curling club be open to all people. Young, seniors, handicapped and able people. We would like to thank the Mayor and City Council for approving the building upgrades. We’ll now be able to hold the wheelchair curling bonspiel in the future so we will be applying for that.”

While the elevators were the main upgrades to the Fort St. John Curling Club, other changes have also taken place recently including moving the stairs and making washrooms more easily accessible and putting up new ceiling tiles.
