Knights of Columbus Flyers have dominant weekend with three wins

In the Flyers first game on Friday they took on the Grande Prairie Knights. The game was well on favour of Grande Prairie entering the third as they led 7-4. The Flyers exploded for six goals in the final frame and kept Grande Prairie off the score board to win 10-7.

Scoring for the Flyers were Austin Crossley (4), Jacob Lang (3), Aaron Kosinsky (2), and Jeridyn Loewen.


Saturday afternoon the Flyers skated with the Slave Lake Wolves. The Flyers started out hot early with six goals in the first period and were in firm control of the game for the entire 60 minutes. The Flyers scored three times in the second and twice in the third as the final score was 11-1.

Scoring for the Flyers were Jacob Lang (2), Thomas Pope, Adam Bowie (3), Austin Crossley, Andrew Travis (3), and Jeridyn Loewen.

The Flyers and Wolves took to the ice once more on Sunday and the result was another lopsided win for the Flyers. The Flyers led 1-0 as the second period of play began but found the back of the net nine times in the second and six times in the third as they won 16-1.

Goals for the Flyers were scored by Jacob Lang (6), Joel Bourgeois, Teagan McMullen (2), Aaron Kosinsky, Andrew Travis, Adam Bowie, Aiden Craig-Steele, Peter Davis (2), and Thomas Pope.

The KOC Flyers next games come at a tournament in Prince George this weekend. They return to league play on January 31 with a tilt against the West Yellowhead Rockies.
