The individual was discovered by Watson Lake RCMP on January 3 along with his snowmobile near his residence. According to RCMP, it appears as though the male drove off the road and hit a snowbank and was thrown over an embankment. He was found on the bank of the Lizard River. Speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors.

The Lower Post resident was last seen by family and friends on January 1st leaving a New Years fireworks celebration.

The B.C. Coroner Service has taken over jurisdiction. No further details are available.
