In a release, LP says Perry has more than 27 years experience in manufacturing, including as a general manager with Weyerhaeuser operating another Canadian OSB facility.

“Wayne has a superb track record as a leader within our industry, and will bring considerable operational expertise to our company,” says Mac Palmiere, OSB regional operations manager in Canada for LP. “His front-line experience managing a high-volume OSB plant includes instrumental roles in the delivery of ongoing improvements in operational efficiency, reliability, environmental management and safety.”

Coote will remain in a leadership role with LP, although whether he will remain in Fort St. John is undisclosed.
