There was no scoring in the first period until the final two minutes when Fast deposited two power-play goals to give the Flyers a 2-0 lead after the opening 20 minutes, despite being outshot 20-12.

The second period was a busy one with five goals scored in the frame. Dawson Creek opened the scoring four minutes in to make the score 2-1, but the Flyers responded with another two from Fast once again. From that point the clubs traded goals as the Flyers led 5-2 heading into the third.

Both teams found the net twice in the final frame to make the final 7-4 in favour of FortSt. John.

Scoring in order for the Flyers were Jeff Fast (4), Adam Horst, Brady Busche, and Kyle Leahy.

Shots were tied at 46 at the end of the game. Getting the win in goal was Jared Andersen.

Next for the Senior Flyers is a game Saturday night on the road as they skate with the Spirit River Rangers at 8:30 p.m.
