Standing in the way of the Flyers finishing in first are the Grande Prairie Athletics. The two teams have been neck and neck all season and a win by the Flyers on Saturday coupled with an Athletics loss next weekend would have Fort St. John finish in first place.

Whenever the Flyers and Athletics have met this season the home team has always come out on top. If Fort St. John gets the win tomorrow they will finish the regular season with a record of 18-5-0-1 and 37 points.

The playoffs in the North Peace Hockey League are slated to begin on February 11, and all series are a best of seven format.
