However, the reverse was true on a yearly basis. Although the number of permits was nearly the same, the 2013 construction value was still more than double that of 2012. 303 permits issued last year were worth $135.6 million, as opposed to $63.6 million for 300 the previous year. 

It was a similar story when it came to city revenue from the permits. Last year’s total was $679,600 and in 2012 it was $322,400.
