The Trackers had a tremendous start to the hockey game with three goals in the opening frame and took a 3-0 lead into the second period.

They would add to their lead with two goals in the second but Slave Lake also found the back of the net to make the score 5-1 at the end of 40 minutes of play.

Slave Lake would mount some pressure in the third period with two goals but the Trackers held down the fort from there as they hung on for the 5-3 win.

Scoring in order for the Trackers were Jarrett Malchow, Alex Hanson, Ryan Friesen, Wyatt Gale, and Wes Shipton.

Getting the win in goal was Logan Edwards as he stopped 26 of 29 shots.

The Trackers have a game this afternoon in Slave Lake once again as they take part in a rematch with the Thunder.
