Store Manager Ben Harrack says the name change will allow the store to run more promotions and offer better savings to customers.

“This morning we transitioned 11 of the 16 PriceSmart food stores to Save-on-Foods and the reason we made the transformation to Save-on-Foods is to offer our customers more value, more specials and more reward items every week,” he says. “We’re running a larger flyer format that we have before.”

Harrack adds that while the name has changed, the company has not been sold or bought out.

“The one thing that’s very important that I want the community of Fort St. John to know is that we’re the same store, the same company. We haven’t been bought out. We’re just going to be operating under the Save-on-Foods banner which will give us a little more leverage to offer our consumers more in store.

Save-on-Foods is located at 10345 100 Street and is open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. every day.
