This afternoon at approximately 4:15 p.m, Grande Prairie RCMP, with the assistance of a tip from the public and an RCMP helicopter were able to locate the stolen pick up at a forestry products mill south of the city of Grande Prairie.

A foot chase ensued behind the mill but police were able to take three people into custody a short time later.

When the vehicle was initially stolen, a seven-month old baby was still on-board.

An amber alert was issued, but removed once the child was left in its car seat on the porch of a residence, just south of Grand Prairie.

No charges have yet to be laid and RCMP will provide an update when more details become available.
