Highway 97 at Taylor to remain closed until 3 a.m.

The driver of a semi-trailer has been taken to hospital in Fort St. John and RCMP say the condition of the person isn’t known, at this time.

Traffic is being re-routed both north and south of the accident scene. There’s no indication just how much diesel fuel has spilled.  Taylor Fire & Rescue is on the scene.  The Provincial Emergency Program has been notified.

Conditions on area highways were slick early this morning after as much as two centimetres of snow fell on the region.  RCMP, however, have yet to confirm if road conditions did play a factor.
