The group intends to get 15 families involved and they’ll be helping determine how much organic waste can be diverted from landfills through at home composting.

NEAT is asking people to weigh the organics that they compost and measure the temperature in their compost piles. They will be providing scales and thermometers. It will start May 1 and go for 12 months. One on one support for participants will be provided throughout the project.
