A strong Pacific frontal system will move into the British Columbia Central Interior on this afternoon.

The system will spread moisture and warm air into the regions listed above.

Precipitation will begin mainly in the form of snow.

However, with cold Arctic air still in place at the surface, there is the possibility of precipitation changing to freezing rain on this afternoon and evening.

As the system progresses the temperatures will rise above freezing on Saturday allowing the precipitation to change to rain.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

Cariboo Road Services say they prepared and ready to deal with this event.

With road temperatures well below freezing, road conditions will be slippery.

They warn drivers to drive with extreme caution.
