The CDC’s Executive Director, Penny Gagnon says their goal this year is to raise 100-thousand dollars.

Gagnon says, how much money is raised depends on Day for the Kids, which takes place Thursday at Price Mart as well as what the performers bring in for the pledges.

To help raise funds performers taking part in the talent show bring in pledges from friends, families and businesses.

The money raised will go towards the Build A Fort project and a playground for the children.

Gagnon says there are over thirty performers this year, ranging from singing, dancing and poetry.

General donations are also accepted for those not wanting to take part in the talent show by visiting the Child Development Centre at 10408 105 Avenue.
