Almost 13cm of snow in Fort St. John this April

Yesterday the station received nearly double the high end Environment Canada estimate, posting a total of 7.5 centimetres and that pushed the month-to-date total to 17 point seven.

In addition, it resulted in 7.5 millimeters of precipitation, hiking that month-to-date total to 19.4, and just shy, of the April average, of 20.

However, neither total recorded yesterday was an April 15th record.

The maximum snowfall received on that day, since 1942, was 13.8 centimeters in 2011 and the precipitation record extends back 70 years, to 17.3 millimeters, in 1944.
