British Columbia Automobile Association begins worst roads survey

The two Fort St. John roads that are in the top ten presently are 86 Street and 112 Avenue. They rank sixth and seventh on the list respectively.

The survey is done with the intention of identifying roads that British Columbians feel are unsafe and in dire need of attention.

In a release Ken Cousin of the BCAA says, “Roads that are jammed with traffic, full of damaging potholes or so deteriorated that you can barely see the road markings can be scary for anyone to use. By voting, you can draw some attention to those unsafe or inefficient roads that frustrate you the most.”

Westside Road in West Kelowna has won the worst roads survey the past two years and currently sits in first place once again.

Those taking part can cast as many votes as they wish for roads in the province, but only one vote per road.
