Spokesperson Bob Gammer says a circuit breaker opened in the Fort St. John sub-station at around 10:45 this morning.
Crews were sent out to see if they could spot the problem, looking for, possibly, a tree branch on a power line.
When they weren’t able to find the issue, they returned to the sub-station, closed the circuit, and electricity to the area was returned.
Gammer says 2,065 customers were affected by the outage.
Power was restored an hour after it went out, at about 11:45.
