Shooting Death Leads To Manslaughter Conviction

Earl Dean Jones and his wife were at the, now, former Windsor Hotel in Dawson Creek.

While in the cabaret, a dispute reportedly took  place between Jones and McDonald.

Indications were the altercation was minor and quickly ended.

Jones and his wife left the cabaret and began heading home, when the  couple noticed they were being followed.

Shortly afterwards, a number of shots were fired at their vehicle, at least one of the bullets managed to hit Jones, killing him instantly.

McDonald, who is now in his 60’s, will be sentenced for manslaughter.

A date, however, for sentencing, has yet to be chosen.
