A section of Highway 97 near the railway overpass, south of FortSt. John, was closed for a time this morning.

Witnesses say it was a three-vehicle collision, however, RCMP have yet to confirm that fact.

They will, however, say that one person was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Also, this morning, an empty school bus driving on the Rose Prairie Road north of the Vet Clinic was ‘rear ended.’

Corporal Jodie Shelkie says the driver of the bus received only minor injuries.

RCMP also responded to a report of a collision near Mile 98 on the Alaska Highway.

However, in this case, there was no accident, but simply a situation where vehicles weren’t able to make it up the hill.
