Duncan Cran wins again in Classroom Energy Diet Challenge

Duncan Cran has embraced sustainability and energy literacy, improving their record for a third straight year as the top school in this contest. By building on past years’ efforts to increase recycling, power down electronics during school breaks and holidays and adopting a “litter-less” lunch program, the students have once again risen to the challenge to take the top school prize.

The prize, of a $4,500 Visa gift card for classroom supplies or field trips and a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice, will be presented by representatives from Canadian Geographic and Shell Canada, along with invited guests from the community on May 16th at 1 p.m., at Duncan Cran Elementary.
