In completing the report the Panel needed to review submissions of all participants and documents as they pertained to the Environmental Impact Statement as well as the public meetings held in the affected areas. 

As per the Joint Review Panel Agreement, the Agency and the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office will make the report public by posting it on the Agency’s public registry and the B.C. EAO’s website.

The potential project entails constructing a dam 1,100 megawatt hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River.

It’s expected the recommendation will be made public shortly, but the governments have up to 45 days to release the review.

After that, they have up to six months, before they’re obligated to announce whether they approve or reject the recommendation.
