Northern Lights College raising funds while having fun

“Everything is for the community” Program Supporter for the Trades department, Brenda Mitchell said. “All of our students are from the community… [so] we like to pick a cause each year.”

Members of the community enjoyed a free barbeque, a blow -up jousting ring, street hockey and chance to socialize in a fun environment.

Ty Dillavough studies oil and gas field operating at the college and says he came out to play some hockey and “come together as a group to have a good time.”

The event is sponsored by local businesses and community members, including Specta Energy, Imperial Oil, Progress Energy, staff members and the Evangelical Church.
