Taylor Fire Department responds to a brush fire over the weekend

“That becomes a real issue at this time of year because people are starting to get out into the wilderness and start camping”, Stebbing explained. “We want people to enjoy camp fires but we also want people to remember to make sure their camp fire is out and can’t spread.”

It’s recommended that all camp fires are equipped with water, a shovel and a responsible adult. Also, ensure the coals are cool enough to be held in your hand before leaving the fire pit.
