Friends of Jenna Burns asking for community support during fight for life

Jenna is an optimistic soon-to-be high school graduate of North Peace Secondary School, an avid lover of the outdoors and an all around fun loving type of girl, with plans to study nursing at a post-secondary institution.

Unfortunately, a May long-weekend ATV adventure at Peace Island Park has left Jenna unconscious at Vancouver General Hospital, having her parents drop everything in Fort St. John, rent a condo in the city and incur hefty bills as a result.

“It’s devastating, we ourselves have been trying to help out but there’s only so much we can do too, right?” says Wanda Platt, a friend so close to the family, she calls Jenna her niece. “It’s pretty hard, and the last thing they need to be worrying about is money.”

That’s why Platt has set up the trust fund at the North Peace Savings and Credit Union, account number 951293. For security assurance, you can find the name of Wanda Platt and her adult daughter, Megan Platt associated with the account.

Platt would also like to extend her cell phone number to the community and says she’s more than happy to pick up any form of donation from you if that’s preferred from the credit union.

Platt can be reached at 778 256 2590
