Male accused of setting fire to abandoned house pleads to lesser charge, handed $1,000 fine

Investigators determined the fire was set on purpose during the early hours of April 19, 2013.

Reports indicate a trial for arson was originally set for earlier in the year before Gregory Dubois and Jordan Crawford pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Dubois, 24, was also handed a $150 surcharge in addition to the fine for mischief to property.

Crawford, 22, will stand trial for sentencing on July 7.

The same morning, another fire was set in Beaverlodge and police continued their investigation into the possibility of a connection.
