Peace Region crime the focus of Global BC Crime Stoppers segment

Ernest Meyn was conducting a check on his vehicle when he was struck by an unknown tractor trailer that left at the scene.

The circumstances of the event were forwarded to Global B.C. by local RMCP Detachment and Fort St. John Peace Region Traffic Services, who agreed to create a Crime Stoppers segment.

Initial airing of the segment, submitted by Northeast B.C. Crime Stoppers will air Saturday June 21, and will repeat on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday after.

The hope is area residents will view this Crime Stoppers segment and ultimately this outstanding crime can be solved, and future outstanding local area crimes will be forwarded for this type of exposure in the future.

“Northeast BC Crime Stoppers thanks the public for their support and the information you can provide that assists the police to bring criminals to justice,” President of Northeast B.C. Crime Stoppers, Rick Ekkel said.  “We ask you to remember that by calling Crime Stoppers, you remain anonymous, criminals don’t!”
