RCMP seeks help locating male charged with second degree murder

RCMP received a call in the early hours of Tuesday about an injured male, transporting him to the Whitehorse General Hospital where he was later being pronounced dead.

An arrest warrant is now issued for Michael Thomas Macpherson for second degree murder in relation to the death of Tanner Sinclair.

Macpherson is described as a 32 year old caucasian male, 5 feet 10 inches, 220 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

He’s known to use the names Michael Pound and Michael Proud.

The RCMP is also trying to locate an older Toyota Corolla with several dents that he may currently be driving.

Police would also like to speak with anyone that may have sold a red Toyota Corolla within the last month.

RCMP officers are asking anyone that may have any information in regards to this matter, or anyone that knows the whereabouts of Macpherson to contact Whitehorse RCMP at 867 667 5555.

Macpherson is considered armed and dangerous and the RCMP urges the public not to approach him or his vehicle, but to immediately call 911 or the RCMP complaint line.
