Red Deer Creek Fire causes evacuation order in Alberta

The Evacuation Order is for a remote area south of the Wapiti River, west of Nose Creek and Two Lakes Road and north of Township Road 61. The MD is working with provincial officials to coordinate an emergency response.

The fire is approximately 10kms from the Alberta border. The B.C. Wildfire Management Branch has been working with Alberta Wildfire Management and a joint command was established today. Specialized personnel from Ontario have also arrived to support the Red Deer Creek fire.
