Wildfire smoke advisory lifted for northeast B.C.

The ministry says while there are still fires burning in the region, cool and damp weather conditions have resulted in a decrease in smoke production from the fires and there is no longer widespread smoke in the region.

Forecasts indicate these conditions will continue through the rest of the week.

The ministry and Northern Health both say they’ll be monitoring the smoke levels in the region and advisories will be issued if required.
