Alcohol may have played a role in Alaska Highway accident over the weekend

Cpl Dave Tyreman says upon further inspection, it was suspect the driver was intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol. The officers presented the driver with an opportunity to provide a breathalyzer, but he declined the offer.

“When the members (of the RCMP) attended, they found the driver to be under the influence,” Tyreman said.

The driver left the scene without any serious injuries and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
