Fort Nelson may experience an early season snowfall

Temperatures over lower elevation will hover just above freezing all day Sunday which may result in a mixture of rain and snow. However, this may actually turn into exclusively snow if the precipitation is heavy enough.

With that in mind, Environment Canada says snowfall accumulation is unlikely due to the ground remaining warm, and there’s a greater chance of significant accumulation for the Munch Lake Park – Stone Mountain Park region as this part of the region is over higher elevation.

Environment Canada is advising the public to monitor future forecasts and warnings as the situation may progress.

You can monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at www.weatheroffice.gc.ca.
